Two of our favorite annual Big Island events have decided the show will go on…virtually this year. The Honoka’a Western Week celebration and the Hawai’i Kuauli Pacific & Asia Cultural Festival both announced that they will hold their events online and invite people from around the island and the world to join them!
Honoka’a Western Week

From May 22-31, the 2021 Honoka’a Western Week comes alive through online virtual events including a silent auction, best-dressed costume contest with photos on Facebook, KahiluTV showing of the Saloon Girls and Cowboys Got Talent show, and a Paniolo Craft Kit with online instructional video. The town participates in a friendly paniolo decor competition complete with photostops, designed and painted by local artists, that visitors can pose for selfies or photos with friends!
Hawai’i Kuauli Pacific & Asia Cultural Festival

The Hawai’i Kuauli Pacific & Asia Cultural Festival invites you to join them for a virtual celebration of Hawai’i Island and its beauty as a cultural melting pot. This 2-day event will be packed with fashion, food, cultural expressions, a keiki hula competition, a firkenife competition, a culinary event and more! Mark your calendars for June 11 & 12, you won’t want to miss it!
