Our agents are much more than real estate professionals, which is why we wanted to take the opportunity to highlight just what makes our agents so unique.
This spotlight, we are focusing on one of our California agents, Sylvia Desin!
Sylvia has been a part of Venture Sotheby’s International Realty since 2015. She grew up in the Bay Area, living in Pleasanton since 1998.
She attended college at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, where she studied International Business. Sylvia is very well respected in the Tri-Valley real estate community, not only for her excellent professional track record and high ethical standards, but for being hard-working, creative, and dedicated.
In her spare time, Sylvia enjoys volunteering for multiple causes. She has been a driver for the Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley (SSPTV) since 2013, driving local senior citizens to their medical appointments. In her own words “It’s been extremely rewarding, and I love being able to help in this small way. Since my own mom isn’t close enough for me to be able to do this for her very frequently, I love that I can help other people’s parents”. She recently joined the board of directors of the SSPTV, and looks forward to being even more involved with our wonderful local seniors. The organization’s mission is to foster independence, promote safety and well-being, preserve dignity, and improve quality of life.
Sylvia has also volunteered for the Sandra J Wing Healing Therapies Foundation since 2013 as a care liaison. The foundation offers grants to local residents who are going through cancer treatments, for alternative therapies such as massage, visual imagery, acupressure, and more. Sylvia shared that many people in her family have been affected by cancer, and she loves that she can help make the journey a little more comfortable for others.
