Calling all horse enthusiasts!  The annual Hawaii Horse Expo is coming to the Paniolo Heritage Center at Pukalani Stables in Waimea this August.  On the 23rd and 24th world-renowned equine experts will share their knowledge and skills to all those interested in horse-related disciplines.

Some of the workshops included this year are “Equine Medicine Symposium,” “Low Stress Cattle Handeling,” and “Rescue Horse Rehabilitated.”  The roster of experts teaching this year include Dr. Brady Bergin (Associate Clinical Professor, University of Minnesota), Pete Gorrell (author and award-winning Hawaiian and western saddle maker), Scot Hansen (retired mounted police officer and horsemanship trainer),  and many more.

All proceeds go to benefit the Hawaii Island Humane Society.  The HIHS strives to prevent cruelty to animals, eliminate pet overpopulation, and offers 24-hour service for injured animals.  For more information about this year’s expo visit their website at
