Significant Sale Spotlight

December, 3, 2020

This extraordinary custom Ruby Hill home was a record-setting sale in Pleasanton, California. Listed by Venture Sotheby’s International Realty agent, Stephany Jenkins. This home was built by John Clawson and is situated on an expansive lot, with the finest materials, finishes, and quality craftsmanship used throughout.

Stunning spiral staircase entryway.

In Stephany’s words, “the sellers had custom-built the home just over ten years ago, and they were very meticulous about maintaining it. Each room was handcrafted and customized down to the bedding. The home itself is 10,200 sq ft, but it also has an attic that is about 2,000 additional square feet. The layout was so well done that it did not feel too large, and each room served a purpose that would be used”.

Meticulously customized throughout.

“The sellers were absolutely wonderful to work with and spent a good amount of time showing me how to use the features in the home. For showings, we wanted to showcase the style of the home, so the staging was minimal. We mostly just removed some personal items and replaced them with some neutral accessories. It was always fun to see the reactions of people viewing the home when they saw the views along with the fact that it has an elevator, movie theatre, and game room, to name a few.”

Entertainer’s backyard with covered patio.

This stunning estate received multiple offers. Even after entering escrow, some remorseful buyers that did not write an offer reached out, hoping for an opportunity to purchase the home. When asked about the continued interest, Stephany remarked, “it’s definitely one of those homes that you can’t stop thinking about. I feel incredibly honored that I was selected to sell it. It truly is one of a kind!”

Including a pool, hot tub, gas fire pit, expansive lawn area, and more.

Living With History | Kealakekua Bay

Kealakekua Bay, 82-5970 Napoopoo Rd

Kealakekua Bay
Kealakekua Bay

In 1779, Captain James Cook was the first documented European to set foot on the Big Island.  His crew anchored off the coast and sailed in on smaller vessels to Kealakekua Bay.

Because it was during the season of Makahiki (a four month season of peace) the Hawaiians welcomed Cook and his crew.  However, Cook’s second visit to the Big Island did not fare as well and he died in a brief skirmish between his crew and the Hawaiians, which was resolved the following day.

Today, Kealakekua Bay is a Marine Life Conservation District and a great spot for scuba diving, snorkeling, and kayaking.  The sheltered bay is home to an amazing coral reef and schools of tropical fish.  If you’re lucky you may even see some spinner dolphins leaping over the water.  There are also many historical sites such as the Hikiau heiau (sacred temple) and a white obelisk which commemorates Cook’s death.

It’s not every day you get a chance to live this close to thousands of years of history and beauty. However, at the moment, we happen to have an exquisite estate overlooking the awe-inspiring Kealakekua Bay.

Sitting on a five-acre parcel, 82-5970 Napoopoo Rd, is a two home tropical paradise with manicured green lawns and groves of coconut palms.  Each home is beautifully designed and appointed with fine finishes.  You’ll find stunning wood flooring, Italian porcelain tile, and plantation island blinds.

The lovely master suites have large lanais which look out onto the bay.  The master bathrooms are well appointed with beautiful features.

Stroll outside, through the well-maintained grounds, to an enormous infinity edge pool with a waterfall spa.  In this entertaining area you can play volleyball on the sand court, shoot pool in the large billiard room, or just relax poolside and take in the gentle ocean breeze.

The primary home on this estate is currently used as a residency and the second home is  a successful vacation rental.   With its close proximity to spectacular Kealakekua Bay, you’ll soon be living alongside history.
