Travel restrictions to Hawai’i ease and the process of re-opening the state to visitors begin on August 1st, 2020. If you have been anxiously awaiting to reschedule your trip or plan on booking a new getaway to Hawai’i, we have put together a detailed list of resources to keep you up-to-date on the latest rules and regulations.
Beginning August 1st, travelers who are traveling from out of state must show proof of a negative result from a CLIA-certified laboratory 72 hours prior to boarding their flight to Hawai’i. This will allow visitors to skip the 14-day quarantine upon entry to Hawai’i. Additionally, travelers must also complete a State Travel and Health form, and undergo a thermal temperature check at the airport. Travelers are responsible for the cost of testing and testing will not be provided upon arrival at the airport.
The 14-day quarantine remains in place for travelers who choose not to get pre-tested prior to their flight to Hawai’i.
