Karen Schneider
Real Estate Professional
My daughter and I kept visiting twice a year until she moved in 1998 to marry her childhood sweetheart. My husband and I eventually relocated in 2003. We lived in Kona the first year but eventually built a home in Volcano due to the cooler weather and charming small-town atmosphere.
I began working with my real estate agent, Junko Weeks of Pahoa Realty, as an assistant during 2004, and she urged me to get my license.
So I became an official realtor in October 2005 and spent the next 7-years working, learning, and having fun with Pahoa Realty. When they decided to retire, I became part of the Prudential Orchid Isle Family in Hilo and stayed as they became Clark Realty. This year I am thrilled to begin a new journey with Venture Sotheby's International Realty as they open up a new Hilo office.
I enjoy spending time with my clients and understand their needs as I help them get to know our island. I never rush clients as this is a life investment, and we want to find the perfect first home or retirement cottage.
Moving to the Big Island and becoming a realtor were two of the best decisions I ever made. I love the variety of people, terrain, plants, and animals and never cease to find delight each day. As a realtor, I have been privileged to work with honest, hard-working, and professional agents and meet clients who appreciate and enhance the Aloha Spirit here on our island.
